Driving without insurance in Florida
Do you drive without car insurance in the Sunshine State? What will happen to you when you get caught? Even if you are a good driver, don’t you need an auto insurance?
Before anything else, there is something important you must know. In Florida, as in each and every American state, its against the law to drive with no insurance. It is a punishable offence and when, not if, you get caught you will face charges. Quite often, law enforcement agents do check people’s auto insurance policies.
Your driving privilege can be suspended by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles for up tothree years or until you present a proof of Florida car insurance. Of course, taking away your drivers license is just the tip of the iceberg. In order to reinstate your drivers license, you will have no choice but to pay a fine as well.
You can expect to be fined anything from $150 to $500, depending on your driving history. Putting things into prospective, driving with no a car insurance is not just a crime, but also a bad idea. Statistically, most of the serious accidents are caused by uninsured drivers. Consider the fact that even if you are not fined just yet, it is entirely probable that you may cause an accident and without having insurance you will possibly have to pay an enormous amount of cash to cover repairs and medical expenses.
Experts state that as many as 1 in 5 drivers in Florida are without the required insurance cover. Even more true now, considering the state of our economy and the need for people to cut corners. Trying to save money is one thing, but when it comes to driving in Florida, the law is quite clear - you are obliged to have insurance.
You will be better off finding affordable auto insurance in Florida rather than not having insurance at all . Driving without insurance is not worth the risk. Born and raised in New York I'm now living in FL and Orlando is the city I call home.
Some people say that my job is extremely boring, but I strongly disagree. True I make my living as a car insurance agent - but are my days boring? Hell, no!. I have the privilege to meet new people every single day. Seriously, when I save some poor guy money on auto insurance - it makes me happy. BTW, this is my website - Florida no fault.
The other day, the most stunning girl I have ever seen came to my office. She started explaining to me what kind of car she drives, how she got a ticket for driving without insurance and what kind of cover she needs, but I was just starring at her amazing black eyes and I couldn't hear a word. Guess what? I got her number :-)
When I'm at home I like watching a funny film and having a glass of white wine. My lovely dog Rino keeps me busy and I go out for a run everyday.
The state of Florida is a fantastic place to live.
